The link above points to a ton of articles about a 'Pew' report that talks about how many and what kind of people read and write blogs.

In Matt's defense, he also says, if it is easy, his ramblings would have the ability to leave comments. Today's post says it shouldn't be too much longer.

A search for <blog etiquette people's names> got me to a cafemama page that said the following: Do I need to let people comment to my blog? Generally, if you are commenting on other people's blogs frequently, it is respectful to allow comments on your own blog. So if he leaves two comments on the 100 or so posts I've made, is he required to allow the same on his site? I don't think so. Twenty comments? maybe. If anything Matt deserves kudos for the initiative and vision of having a cool online personality.

This blog entry started because I wish more of my friends and family followed Matt's lead.
